Malgiacca. Dalitro

Grape: Sangiovese (50%), and Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Malvasia Nera, Barbera, Montepulciano, Chasselas, Merlot and Syrah.

Saverio has 3 distinct terroirs: the alluvial one is responsible for Dalitro: a biodynamic wine preserved in 100cl bottles.  The vineyard is mixed, very as it turns out, remarkably no single variety stands out, this is a marriage of pure joy.  Supple, light-footed and flavoursome, wholesome and real.  A wine to serve with laughter and excellent company.  13%

In the 1990s, Saverio was disturbed by problems with conventional farming and converted to organic. A 2001 visit from Julian Castagna (Beachcroft, Australia) introduced him to biodynamics, a holistic system that he has practiced and helped many others to follow.  Malgiacca are such unforced, untouched wines, everything is by hand, his attention to detail isimmaculate and the wines excellent.
