PRICING & PROMOTIONS
All prices are in Pounds Sterling and include VAT and duties charged at the current UK rates.
Prices may be subject to change without notice.
Prices shown are only applicable to purchases made via the Bat and Bottle website (bat.wine) and may differ to those shown in printed material or on other channels.
Price is quoted per single bottle or stated unit.

SHOP HOURS
When the Robsons are in the warehouse it becomes a shop, and we would love to see you, the hours are updated daily on: https://bat.wine/pages/diary
However, when we are away the warehouse is only open for collections: Monday to Thursday from 9am to 11am.
To arrange your collection date/time please place your order online and email: wine@batwine.uk
We are very happy to bring wine out to your car if you feel safer using our 'click and collect' service.

DELIVERY
Delivery is restricted to UK nationwide.
An order relates to one single delivery. If you would like to send a gift to more than one address, please enter each gift as a separate order, alternatively, if the gifts are all the same, enter one single order and email us with the name and address list of the other recipients then contact us to arrange payment.
Delivery is free for any order over £160, different size parcels, timed deliveries and areas of the Highlands and Islands may carry a surcharge.
All other delivery options and charges including timed deliveries are listed in detail below.

DELIVERY PRICES
FREE Delivery for orders over £165* 
Delivery price for all orders under £165*:
• 12 bottles+ order: £6.50
• 1 – 11 bottles order: £9
EXTRA DELIVERY SURCHARGES
Please email or call us immediately if you would like your delivery service altered:
• Weekday AM: extra £5
• Saturday: extra £15

*Highland & Island Deliveries:
If you live in the Highlands or Islands you are most fortunate, however before dispatching your order, we will confirm whether or not there is a surcharge for us to deliver to you. If one applies, you will be charged separately (at cost), in addition to your order. We will therefore contact you after you have made your purchase if these surcharges apply.

BREAKAGES, NON-DELIVERY AND SHORT DELIVERIES
Any damaged bottles or missing cases/bottles must be either refused (preferable – we do not want you having to clear broken glass), or the delivery MUST be signed for as a damaged (or missing) parcel.
As well as reported to us by email or phone as early as possible and within 3 hours of the delivery.
Failure to inform us within this time will lead to the items no longer being covered by insurance and no recompense being available.
Please be certain to check the number of parcels you are signing for.
We will not replace wines that have been signed for but not received. Any missing cases of wine will be chased up within the couriers’ system and, provided we have been informed within the time limits specified, we will send replacements out as fast as possible, if the original is not genuinely on its way to you.

DELIVERY DATE FROM ORDER
All deliveries are sent using a next day courier service. However, we cannot absolutely guarantee next day deliveries and, should there be a delay of more than 3 days, we will contact you and advise you of when it will be due.

SAFE PLACE OR ALTERNATIVE DELIVERY ADDRESS
If you are uncertain as to whether or not someone will be at home all day, there is a ‘notes/special instruction’ facility in which you can authorise a safe place, or nearby house numbers, as alternative addresses where your wine can be left if no-one is in. Bat and Bottle cannot be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.

COLLECTIONS AND SHOPPING AT THE WAREHOUSE
Collections can be made from our warehouse in Oakham. We welcome visits in person.
We are located at the old Ashwell Prison! Now it is Oakham Enterprise Park just outside Oakham on Ashwell Road, LE15 7TU (for some satnavs use co-ordinates: 52.691982,-0.716633 ).

OPENING HOURS
We are open every third Saturday of the month: 9.30am - 5pm (free tasting)
If you want to visit at any other time, you really are more than welcome - if we are there, we are open!
However, please, do ring 01572 759735 before setting off as, on occasion, no-one is available to man the warehouse during weekdays. We are usually here between 9.30am and 12pm Monday to Friday.

You MUST be at least 18 to buy alcohol.

Please note that sadly the postal system has become steadily less reliable over the last few years; postal orders have frequently been received late – or worse, not at all.

NEW CUSTOMERS / LOGGING IN
If this is your first order made on this website you can purchase as a guest, or you can register, tou will need to provide:
• your first name
• your last name
• company (optional)
• email address
• address
• telephone number
• a password private to you (registered accounts only)
If you have ordered from us before, you need not log in to order again, but no record will be kept of your wines ordered on the website. Instead, simply use the 'Log In' button at the top of the page and enter your email address and password you provided when you first ordered.
If you have forgotten your password, there is a facility for a password reset to be emailed to you at the email address you registered with. This is available via 'Forgot Your Password' link on the 'Log In' page.
No administrator can see your password, it is kept encrypted within your account.

PAYMENT
You can pay for your order by:
• Direct Debits through GoCardless
• Online payments into our bank account.
• Give us your card details over the phone – please always provide a contact phone number
• Payment on collection.
• Credit card – our site accepts most credit and debit cards.
IMPORTANT: Please note that for authorisation, you must provide the full address to which the card has been issued, exactly as it appears on your statement. All transactions are subject to authorisation.
If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for non-delivery.

COMPLETING YOUR PURCHASE
A summary of your order, address information and payment method will be displayed before your payment is taken. If this is correct, please complete your order.
You will receive a confirmation email or text according to the details you have provided.
Your order will be despatched when we have received confirmation that your payment has been received.
You will be advised of the tracking details when your wine is despatched, either by email or by text, depending on the information you have provided.
