The vineyard covers 5 hectares in the commune of Uggiano Montefusco, whose mineral-rich clays are 50m above sea level.  Just outside Manduria, the vineyards supply Primitivo for Puglia’s prized Primitivo di Manduria.  The vines are cordon-trained at a height of 50cm from the ground, these are Guistini’s youngest vines, which are now 10 years old.  
The harvest is by hand, the bunches are de-stemmed before being crushed and fermented using selected yeasts in temperature-controlled steel tanks.  The wine goes through malolactic conversion in steel tanks and is bottled in the Spring following the vintage.
