Vicentini. Soave 'Terrelunghe'
Soave DOC
Grapes: Garganega, Trebbiano di Soave
Immaculate peach, almond, lemon fruit, laced with sweet tarragon, this is a Soave to savour. 12.5%
2023 was a challenge, unusually wet from spring to August. When summer finally arrived, and with a vengance, night-time temperatures were refreshingly low and the grapes that survived mildew were excellent: nicely concentrated with even ripeness and genuinely delicious.

A beautiful bottle of wine, exactly how Soave should be. The label was designed by a local amateur artist who is a friend of the family. The vines are organically farmed, now over thirty years old, they are trained using a traditional pergola system. Most of the vineyard is on alluvial and mid-weight clays. The harvest is by hand and around 120 hl/ha is taken. The grapes are sorted before a soft pressing and long fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks. The wine is bottled at the tail end of winter using a mobile bottling line (a very professional, full time team of bottlers arrive in their purpose-built truck).
