Palazzina. Bramaterra
Bramaterra DOC
Grapes: Nebbiolo, Croatina, Vespolina
Usually, Paolo’s Bramaterra spends 3 years in oak, it came out a few months early in 2019. It was a hot vintage which delivered healthy, ripe grapes, giving incredible old red rose garden aromas, fine, full flavoured red berry fruit, with blood and baked cherry tomato flavours, big muscular tannins, yet somehow fine, and refreshing. A powerful and pretty wine, it takes a step onto flavours more commonly found in great Gattinara. 13%
The Nebbiolo is from La Palazzina and the Croatina and Vespolina from Brusnengo. It is possible to get a tractor between the rows at La Palazzina, the old vineyard at Brusnengo is a labour of love.
