Vino Bianco
Grape: Malvasia Moscata
The aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, pear and lychee give a false impression of sweetness, this is a bone dry wine with a lovely rich, waxy texture, grapefruit, wild honey and white peach, a confident grip of tannin. A beautifully balanced and memorable wine, very definitely a food wine, a bit natty to use as an aperitivo. 13%

Ninin was first made in 2018, it is a pure old-vine Malvasia Moscata, that is very different from the classic, ‘Blanc de Lissart’. Malvasia Moscata is a delicately flavoured and aromatic grape, not an obvious choice for an orange wine, it works though; the bunches are hand-picked and sorted before being de-stemmed, which results in a mass of broken grape skins and whole berries that are fermented together for 10 days before being pressed. The fermentation finishes without skin contact. The wine is then transferred to condition in 2nd and 3rd passage* barriques for 2 to 3 months.
The artist who created Le Marie's labels died in 2017, the label for the Ninin was designed by Simone.
