Grape: Bian Ver

Bianver (Bian Ver) is mentioned in the Pinerolese DOC and is a recognised variety in the Langhe.  It is an incredibly rare variety that we have no experience with, when I first tasted this wine it was on a wire, intense, green fruit and pea.  Now, fennel and aniseed peak through peach and lime fruit, a wine with tension and intensity that is certainly different, and very good indeed.   13.5%

Made much the same way as the Arneis, no cryomaceration , destemmed grapes that are fermented in steel for 15 days, starting at 16C.  The wine is aged in steel, bâtonnage every 6 months.

Sagrera corks are used.
