Spiced, brambly fruit cast with iron and salt.  A rich, savoury wine with drying tannins and spot-on good acidity - a very fine example of Raboso. 12.5%

This is an incredibly difficult wine to make: Raboso literally means rabid and this refers to the high colour, acidity, high everything that ensures an incredibly long life, but makes it virtually impossible to drink in its youth.
Giordano has beaten this. His is made from Raboso Veronese and Raboso Piave, a part of the grapes are dried before fermentation. The harvest is at the end of October as usual, that is the only thing normal about this wine.
