Conte Emo Capodilista. Prosecco Brut DOC
Prosecco Spumante DOP Brut
Grape: Serprino (ancient Glera)
Fine, defined light, crisp fruit. Perfectly balanced, elegant moose, delicious citrus, ripe herb, salt and pineapple; perhaps a little too easy to drink. 11%

The Colli Euganei is a national park south of Padova, steep, wooded volcanic hills which have a long history with Glera, the grape variety responsible for Prosecco’s success.
There is a strong argument that Glera Lungo was born in these hills. We spent a few months at La Montecchia back in 2003, at the time it was not uncommon to find a spumante called Serprino, it is very rare that the old, local name for Glera Lungo is used now, sad in some ways; this is one of the three regions that have historically supported and developed this grape variety.
