Collection: Tenuta Stuffanello

Castelvetro di Modena, Emilia Romagna

Tenuta Stufanello is a mixed farm in the hills of Castelvetro di Modena owned and worked by the Venturelli family for 4 generations.  This is a 15ha smallholding, producing milk, cereals and wine, an artisan agricultural business that supports those who work it, creating excellent quality produce with a minimum impact on the environment, safeguarding the biodiversity of local flora and fauna.

The family have 4.5ha of vineyard, of which 2ha is Grasparossa.  These vines are 30 years old, Guyot-trained at a sparse 3300 vines/ha.  There is also; 1.3ha of Trebbiano Modenese and a mix of Pinot Bianco, Malvasia Bianca, Lambrusco Fioranese, Forana and Trebbiano di Spagna.  The slope faces east, the soils are rich in clays on Pliocene limestone.
Marco Venturelli makes wines his ancestors would recognise but with the additional enlightenment of contemporary technologies.
