Grapes: Chardonnay with a tiny amount of Pinot Noir.

This is no conventional spumante, essentially it is a Satén without dosage.  Apple and apricot on the nose, the palate is more floral, a touch of chalk, fino and flor on the finish.  12.5%

Art and literature are the inspiration behind this cuvée which has been dedicated to the WW1 hero and poet Gabriele d'Annunzio.
The label’s red background dominates, bordered by a snake biting its tail, an oroboros, the ancient Egyptian symbol of immortality and renewal.  The seven stars represent the plough, the constellation that guided the poet during the nocturnal navigation of the Bakar Raid.
"DISOBBEDISCO" was the cry launched by Gabriele d'Annunzio as a sign of opposition to conformity, and of strength determined not to bow to injustice and to thoughts opposed to the homeland.
