Grapes Carricante with about 10% of Catarratto and Minella

Lovely ripe fruit on the nose, apricot and dry hay, floral and salt.  Fresh, crystalline zesty lemon and grapefruit, deceptive weight, there is a lightness and appealing bitter lemon finish. 12%

The Outis wines are from the vineyards of the extended family, all of which are within the Comune di Trecastagni, much of the fruit is from within the Cru of Contrada Ronzini.  The vines are Alberello trained at a density of 8000 plants per hectare at 650m.  The soils are volcanic sands.  The grapes are hand-picked together, de-stemmed and pressed, before a temperature-controlled fermentation using selected yeasts in steel tanks. 
Production is between 2500-3000 bottles
