The inspiration behind this tasting is Picech, whose 2015 Jelka was just awarded a magnificent 94 points by Decanter (our Wine Club unsurprisingly took all the UK allocation - the 2016 is reserved, let me know if you would like to pre-order).
Historically, the Friuli is revered for producing Italy's finest white wines - it is a region where little-known grape varieties rub shoulders with international classics and it is home to so many individual and genius winemakers. The truth is, I really like the idea of us tasting these wines together, it will be brilliant!
