A hot vintage, keeping a hat on the ripeness was neigh impossible and this wine declares 15.5%.  Remarkably, it wears its power with great elegance; the fruit is rich and pure black cherry, with a floral and blueberry notes that calm and define the wine.  15.5%

A small part of the Dani vineyard was selected for this wine, using particularly old vines whose fruit achieves excellent ripeness that could embrace barrique and not be overcome by it. In many ways this is a traditional wine, it is a pure Barbera with a bold and ambitious character, importantly though it does not veer from the DNA of Giada and Asti Barbera. It is a wine that spends 18 months in medium to light toast 300 litre barriques and remains in bottle for at least a year before release.
Andrea has dedicated this wine to his son, it is only made in the best years and usually there are only a few hundred bottles released.
