Marco Sambin. 'Le Femminelle' Biodynamic/ Organic Medium bodied dry red wine from the Colli Euganei in the Veneto Italy

Marco Sambin. Cabernet Sauvignon 'Le Femminelle'

  • 1680

IGT Rosso Trevenezie
Grapes  Cabernet Sauvignon, Raboso and Merlot

A wine that is dominated by the Cabernet Sauvignon: unfarmed blackberry fruit, ripe and supple with lovely strawberry depth. The Raboso brings more structure, however this is a lovely easy drink: stylish and balanced.  13%

Producer: Marco Sambin

The vineyard is planted at a high density (between 8000-9000 vines per hectare) with just a kilo of fruit coming from each vine. The training is either cordone speronato or albarello; the soils are clay and chalk on mineral rich volcanic soils. The harvest is by hand and the fermentation is a natural spontaneous one utilising the natural yeasts. Ageing for this wine takes place in steel tanks. This is a wine made to be enjoyed in its youth.
